Excessive feed: If the amount of material input exceeds the bearing capacity of the mill, it will lead to blockage and overload of the feed port, which will cause smoke.
Feed humidity is too high: If the feed contains too much moisture, it will cause steam to be generated at the feed port, and then smoke will be formed.Combustibles in the feed: If the feed contains flammable substances, such as grease or other flammable substances, the feed port may ignite or burn, resulting in smoke.
Equipment failure: Failure of components such as the feed system, fan system, or exhaust system of the mill may cause smoke at the feed port.
When smoke is found at the feed port of the Raymond mill, the operation should be stopped immediately and the following treatment should be carried out:
Check whether the feed amount is too much, and reasonably control the feed amount according to the specifications and carrying capacity of the mill.
Check the humidity of the incoming material to ensure that the humidity of the material meets the requirements.Check whether the incoming material contains flammable substances to ensure that the composition of the material is safe.
Check whether the feed system, fan system and exhaust system of the mill are in normal operation, and repair them in time if there is a fault.
If the above measures cannot solve the problem, it is recommended to stop using the mill and ask professionals to repair and maintain the mill to ensure the safety and normal operation of the device.
